“Speak what you feel, not what you ought to say.” That line from King Lear stopped me in my tracks the first time I read it. Still does.
This last verse came out in a quiet moment—just me, my guitar, and the weight of everything I’d been trying not to feel.
It’s about sitting still long enough to hear your own life speak back to you. About finally telling the truth, even if it doesn’t rhyme.
