I’ve been in a Crohn’s flare now for like 6 months (I’ve lost count honestly, could be longer) and I feel like I am now an expert on the items I’ve needed to get through it.
🍑electrolytes especially those from @buoy and using my Stanley or Owala bottle like the basic girl I am
🍑heating pad: I mean is an explanation even needed for this?
🍑reading: a low energy activity that also is an amazing distraction from what is presently happening
🍑REST: there are so many kinds, and all are importantly and needed during a flare up
🍑emotional support pet: if you don’t have one then lmk and mine can be borrowed through sending content your way (katara needs to work on her work ethic)
🍑distractions: I already mentioned reading but this is literally anything that will take your mind off of your body what it is feeling. I have really relied on podcasts throughout this flare especially comedy ones. Since being on prednisone I have found it hard to be alone with my thoughts so I’m have turned to podcasts to distract from the bad thoughts. My favorites have been @giggly.squad @sooootruepod and @thecommentsection for giggles and distractions!
