0:04We just come out of the screening of Kika by Alexe Poukine.
0:08How are you feeling? You know, what was your emotions? Where you moved?
0:13I feel like I experienced every emotion during that film.
0:16It goes to so many unexpected places. I loved it. It was really beautiful.
0:21And honestly, you just kind of feel like inspired just seeing a film like that.
0:26There is one scene that got me towards the end specifically, she was like, no time to catch your breath after, you know, losing your lover.
0:33And once you, like, finally has that scene where she's, you know, literally being beaten up and then, you know, also metaphorically, finally letting everything out too, that scene, it really got to me.
0:44That's beautiful.
0:45You were born in '94. You grew up in Arkansas. Do you feel connected to French cinema or European cinema in general?
0:54Yeah, there wasn't a ton of French cinema in Arkansas,
0:58but that's why I'm grateful to have experiences like this to get exposure to it.
1:02And there's been times where I've been exposed to certain films that have had a big impact on me, like we did the series, Your Honor,
1:14and our showrunner for that was a huge fan of this French film called A Prophet.
1:20And that was like a huge reference I used for my performance and just for the show in general.
1:28So yeah, it's fun to find inspiration in those films and nice to get these experiences and just get exposed to it more.
1:36What's, in your opinion, the most beautiful film scene in cinema history?
1:43Yeah, like 'no pressure'.
1:46It makes me think of the shot on the ice from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
1:51I feel like that's like looking great iconic imagery in cinema.
1:56What could be the perfect movie to watch right before proposing marriage?
2:01Anora.
2:02Promised them it'll go a little better for them.
2:05If you can wake up tomorrow in the body of an iconic film character, who would it be?
2:10There's something I could never do in real life.
2:13I keep seeing all the Tom Cruise promotional stuff here for Mission Impossible.
2:20I'm like, let me go live out, my spy fantasy.
2:23Do you think movies can change the world?
2:26Yeah, definitely. I mean, they just change you on a personal level if the film is really good.
2:33And just how you see the world.
2:35Is there a movie, that changes your life?
2:39The Jean-Marc Vallée film Wild.
2:41I watched and rewatched it after I lost my dad and I just love how it explores, like, grief of losing a parent, like how to move on and like you're moving through that with that grief.
2:50So yeah, that movie like sticks with me.
2:52Is there a film director, a filmmaker you dream of working with?
2:58Yeah, I would have loved to work with Jean-Marc Vallée.
3:01Um, there's so many amazing filmmakers right now.
3:04Um, Alfonso Cuarón, Luca Guadagnino, Yorgos Lanthimos, like Poor Things was one of my favorite movies last year.
3:10Yeah, so many.
3:11Cool.
3:11And one last question. Season two of Wednesday is about to be released,
3:17would you give us a little spoiler?
3:19There's going to be a red dot on my forehead from some Netflix executive.
