Join us at Patagonia Meatpacking for the next installment of our #GrowTheOutdoors event series with a two-part lecture on Civil Rights and Eco-Justice with Dr. Gregory Simpson.
Part 1: Key Questions of Place and Space
Tuesday, May 14, 7 PM
Civil rights, environmental racism and eco-justice—are
they really different? What is ecofeminism anyway, and
why does it matter? What is the link between these
justice movements and outdoor spaces? Join us for a
presentation and Q&A.
Part 2: Key Questions of Planetary Survival
Thursday, May 30, 7 PM
From social justice to climate justice, how did we get
here? People or polar bears, do we have a choice?
Making connections between our personal choices
and the protection of outdoor spaces is tied directly
to planetary survival. At this event, we will focus on
dialogue and exchange to find out what people deeply
think and how they view these relationships.
