We’re thrilled to announce the birth of four critically endangered red wolf pups at Pritzker Family Children’s Zoo! The pups, two male and two female, were born April 13. Curator Dan Boehm says: “Scientists estimate there are less than 40 red wolves left in their native habitat of North Carolina, meaning the species is on the very brink of extinction. We could not be more ecstatic for the arrival of these pups to help save this species and bolster the population”.
If you’re interested in celebrating this special litter, you can either ADOPT a red wolf to support world-class care for mother Becca and her pups all year long (https://bit.ly/2Vz4m6b), or purchase an item from the zoo’s Wish List (https://bit.ly/2nbVZMu).
