0:16Join John Moody, aka the father of ultralights, for a talk about why he chose an Icarus II hang glider, how to build it and some of the early days of learning to fly and why he thinks ultralights caught on at AirVenture in 1976. John demonstrated his powered hang glider at the EAA fly-in convention in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He will discuss those flights that started a movement which led to the formation of FAR Part 103 ultralight vehicles.
