0:34Influenza (flu) during pregnancy is more
0:34likely to cause illness and severe illness or
0:34hospitalization. For this reason, and to protect
0:34the developing baby, all pregnant women
0:34should get a flu vaccine. Flu vaccine can also
0:34help protect both pregnant women and
0:34the baby from influenza when flu vaccine is
0:34given during any trimester of pregnancy.
0:34Early flu vaccination (i.e., during July and
0:34August) can be considered during the third
0:34trimester of pregnancy if vaccine is available
0:34because this can provide protection for the baby.
