Using warm tones of amber and mahogany to enhance the hue of the whisky, photographer Erik Madigan Heck has used colour to evoke the flavour profile of ginger, orange and wood spice which define The Macallan Sherry Oak 30 Years Old.
Notes of honeyed figs, chocolate orange and a subtle hint of cinnamon are also captured in this still life photograph, with the soft-focus alluding to the beautifully long and rich finish of the whisky.
