As a family👨👩👧👦 and employee-owned company, we’ve never been afraid to go all-in on big ideas especially when it comes to reducing the environmental impact of our business. So we’re making a change and switching to certified 90% post-consumer 18/8 stainless steel.
We’re starting with our straws and TKWide collection and quickly moving on with the rest of our line. This change will result in a 40% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and a 30% reduction in the energy demand from the steel we use.
By early 2023, 95% of our products will be made with certified 90% post-consumer 18/8 stainless steel. With this switch, we hope to blaze a trail within our industry away from virgin steel and towards meaningful environmental impact reduction.
